“Some of you have been with us from the very beginning, and some are more recent friends. But without each and every one of you, we wouldn’t be where we are today – a CVC that is respected on the global stage and about to close our 23rd investment (keep following for news of this very soon). We have also made three successful exits and have made deals across four continents.
“Looking back at what BTV has achieved since we made our first investment in Summer 2020, I’m both proud and honoured to be part of such a dynamic group of people.
“Some CVC funds are anonymous and hide their teams away, but not us. We celebrate and showcase our brilliant colleagues whenever we can, because they are the beating heart of what we do.
“We launched with a team of just seven dedicated experts in their fields. Today we have 20 fantastic team members, and we regularly welcome interns and BAT Global Graduates who give back to us in terms of enthusiasm, dedication, ideas and hard-work as much as we hope to give to them in experience, mentorship and support.
“The past year has seen a number of highlights that are important to us as a team, including receiving a Level 2 Diversity VC Standard for our work in Diversity & Inclusion; and seeing the growth of our BTV Labs programme. Our Consumer Delight Lab, Futures Lab and ESG Lab offer a supportive partnership for brand growth. With our ESG Lab, for example, we are now on our sixth cohort and have worked with more than 20 companies.
“Of course, the past three years have also been remarkable not just for us as a team, but for the events that have shaped people’s lives across the world. So it would be foolish to try and predict what the next year will bring globally.
“But within BTV we know that we will continue to grow our relationships with our portfolio; strengthen our brand purpose; develop our Labs outreach, and continue to educate and engage with our business partners about the work of CVC in general, and BTV in particular.
